- Introductory Guide to Literary Theory by Dino Felluga covers Gender & Sex, Marxism, Narratology, New Historicism, Postmodernism, Psychoanalysis.
- Internet Public Library Online Literary Criticism from the University of Michigan offers a browsable index by author, title, nation, and literary period.
- Glossary of Literary Terms is a detailed online resource.
- EdSitement is a teaching resource hosted by the National Endowment for the Humanities with some features adaptable to higher education.
- Electronic Literature Organization is a collaboration "To facilitate and promote the writing, publishing, and reading of literature in electronic media"
- Project Gutenberg is the twenty-year project to make as many texts as possible as widely available as possible by volunteers digitizing out-of-copyright works.
- Theatre History includes links to international drama resources.
- Internet Movie Database started in the early 1990s and has evolved into a massive searchable database.
- Internet Broadway Database "was created by the Research Department of The Broadway League, the national trade association for Broadway."
- VirtualLit offers a guide for critical approaches to literature and some online tutorials from Bedford St. Martin.
